I inherited my love of tea from my mother, not a day went by when she didn't have a cup. Growing up in Jamaica it was tradition, you started every day with tea, it's just what we did. From "bush" tea when she needed to treat ailments to her routine cup of Red Rose black tea in the morning and at night, right before bed, mom had a cup religiously. I can remember her calling me on her way home from work saying "put on the kettle, mi need a cup of tea when mi reach home". It became our tradition and overtime I looked forward to her call and having her tea ready, so we could sip and go over how our days went. At 27 years old my love of tea remains and so when I was thinking about a side hustle that could help me be financially independent, developing my own tea blends was the obvious choice. The Tea Ingredient was created to bring bold unique flavors to cups everywhere and to inspire people to get creative and reimagine how they enjoy tea. This company is also bringing to life a tradition my mother left me with and something I hope will live on long after.

The Tea Ingredient is my ode to my mom, I know she would be proud.
